Youth Volunteering

While volunteers of all ages are welcome to volunteer, there are some limitations that come with volunteering as a minor due to the hazards of working on our sites. All minors must complete a youth liability waiver and have it signed by their parent or guardian and minor groups participating on a build site must have adult supervision.

Ages 16–17 are allowed to participate in construction work, but are prohibited from using power tools; being on ladders, scaffolding, or any other surface higher than 4 feet from the surrounding area.

Ages 15 and under are not able to be on construction sites where power tools or ladders are being used and as such should not sign-up through our volunteering portal. However, these volunteers may be able to participate in painting, laying sod, and a whole host of other opportunities! Have a group of kids you want to get involved?
