Apply Now for a Habitat Townhome in Idaho Springs!
Dreaming of a place to call your own in the mountains? Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for a new townhome in Idaho Springs!
At Blue Spruce Habitat, homeownership is about partnership. Families who join our program make both a personal and financial investment in their future — working alongside volunteers to help build their home and gain valuable skills through our homeowner workshops. Together, we’re building stronger families and communities.
How to Apply
If you’re ready to take the first step toward owning your own home, drop off your completed application by December 17, 2025 at the ReStore in Evergreen. You’ll need to include:
- Credit reports (with scores) from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion
- Two months of pay stubs and bank statements
- Two years of tax returns and W2s
Who Qualifies
We select future homeowners based on three main things:
- Need: Your current housing may be too expensive, overcrowded, or unsafe.
- Ability to Pay: Habitat homes are sold with affordable mortgages to families who have a steady income that fits our guidelines.
- Willingness to Partner: Each adult in the household contributes 250 hours of “Sweat Equity” — helping build their home and others, plus attending workshops on finances, maintenance, and planning for the future.
Applicants must also be legal U.S. residents, have lived or worked in our service area (Clear Creek, the mountain area of Jefferson County, or Park County up to Kenosha Pass) for at least 12 of the past 36 months, and have a good credit history.
If you’ve been dreaming of a safe, affordable home in Idaho Springs, now’s your chance! Apply by November 20, 2025 and take the first step toward building your future with Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity.
