Abandoned by a dumpster at the age of four, Hazzell Canelos never knew a real home. She spent her childhood shuffled from foster home to foster home, always longing for a family to adopt her and give her love and stability. She knew of Habitat for Humanity at a young age, and she says, “Habitat always spoke to me because it was all about home – something I never really had.”

 

Hazzell will have a home– a real home soon, a home to raise her son Titus. Hazzell says, “More than anything, I want to raise my son is a stable, warm and loving atmosphere so that he can grow into a healthy, successful man.”
